Owen County Board of Education Cancels Special Called Meeting

Due to inadvertent errors in the tax notice advertisements that were published in the newspaper, District staff, with the assistance of legal counsel, have determined that the Board will be limited to taking the compensating tax rate, and cannot take the previously proposed 4% increase. Accordingly, there will not be any tax rate meetings on Friday, September 4, nor on Tuesday, September 8. A meeting will be scheduled in the future for the Board to take the compensating rate.
